The Seattle Traveler – Calling All Sports Widows

football-thumbNow I know that there are plenty of women who love sports and look forward to a weekend in front of the television or at the stadium watching their favorite team. But if you’re one of those people for whom tailgating has no appeal, for whom dressing up in team and colors and going to the stadium is downright painful, or who have gotten to the verge of throwing something through the television – stress no more.

Here’s a ladies getaway that will keep you occupied and happy instead of people the weekend sports widow. You’ll find yourself welcoming Seahawks Sunday!

The Seattle Pan Pacific Hotel is offering a Sports Widows Package, a special girls getaway overnight that includes a deluxe guestroom, overnight valet parking, a welcome treat of champagne and strawberries, a cocktail in The Bar, and a Vida Spa treatment (choose from a manicure and pedicure, massage, or facial).

The Pan Pacific has 160 guestrooms and suites offering views of the city, Lake Union, and the Space Needle, and are appointed with upscale amenities. A fitness center is onsite, along with meeting and event space. It’s part of the 2200 Westlake complex that features restaurants, bars, and retail outlets, making it a complete urban spot.

Dates:  October 1st, 2009 through February 28th, 2010, which pretty much takes you through all of football season, post-season, and the Super Bowl.

Price:  $269/single occupancy and $389/double occupancy (plus taxes)
