This was the first time I stayed at this Hotel. The staff were very friendly. Everything I needed was taken care of. The room was bright and clean. I would definitely recommend Pan Pacific to many of my friends. – J

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We very much like the personal touch of having welcome card in our name signed by all the hotel staff. The arrival amenities were also a pleasant surprise. Flawless and hassle free. This is what all hotels should be. Fantastic view of the space needle and lake union. very clean and cozy rooms specially the bed and pillows. we especially like that the bed isn’t cluttered with too many pillows. We also like that the hotel has a commitment to being environment friendly. Its also great that you’ve simplified all possible guest request by simply dialing “service one.” All the staff we encountered were great! Excellent team! I was made to feel welcome and staff provided me with a “Can Do” attitude when I asked for services. I am in customer service and really needed to be pampered after a difficult week – your staff made me feel like the most important person in the hotel! Hotel amenities are fabulous! Everything was ready when I checked in. Even the request for non-down and no feather pillows. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The young man that came to get my bags must have been working the front desk because he handled my check out also. Beautiful Beautiful hotel. I felt very Secure since I was traveling alone. It was easy to check-in and I enjoyed the personal greeting on the TV in the room as well as the greeting as I checked out through the TV. The room was nice and decorous, and the bathrom room layout was one of a kind that I had not seen before in hotels. I especially found the valet team to be friendly and helpful (and I did NOT valet park!). They were very courteous and attentive each time we entered and exited the hotel. They all had smiles on their faces and it made me feel welcomes. At Seastar Restaurant I was very impressed our server’s quality of service that he offered our dinner group during the evening. He was extra attentive and noticed when one of our party member didn’t touch her soup. He even encouraged us to try a dessert! I was also very impressed with our food arriving all the same time! Front desk agents are always pleasant and attentive. Highly professional! Everything about the guest room, from interior design, to luxury accommodations and personalized TV screens is top class. Probably the nicest person I have ever had reserve a room for me. He also said he would request rooms higher up for a better view, which we got! AND, the two adjoining rooms were also….adjoining! I never ceases to amaze me, but just about every hotel with adjoining rooms won’t guarantee that they will actually be adjoining when you book them! How refreshing… probably the fastest check-in every, staff could not be more pleasant. Love that internet access in included in room charge. The room is totally awesome, as is the hotel. We will be back. Forgot to mention earlier, the restaurant is also fantastic – phenomenal food! – Mr. Tom

It was wonderful to meet you at the Pan Pacific. You are an amazing person juggling so many responsibilities and keeping a great sense of humor. The wine and appetizers, succulent salmon, tasty salad, crab creamy soup, sushi and desserts, paired with wines, was one of the best dinners ever. Also, I loved all the laughing and congenial company at dinner. We loved our room at the Pan Pacific with its light, airy room and creative opening doors from the bathtub to bedroom. Our walks took us to the Space Needle and Pike Street Market. We will be returning again to visit many more attractions that we didn’t have time to enjoy. Tomorrow, we have our Vida Spa treatments: Bill has a massage and I have an eye collagen and facial treatment. Again, thank you for your kind invitation. It was an honor. When articles are published, I will send them to you.

Thank you very much for organizing a stay at the Pan Pacific in Vancouver. What a spectacular view from the room. And we really enjoyed the brunch. Service was great. Food was superb. Loved the salmon and all the veggies. My son loved the dessert selection.

I also invited my son and his girlfriend for a nightcap and tapas in the lounge. Again, what an amazing view. I checked out the pool, and the rooftop lounge, and absolutely loved the velour robe in the room. Best hotel bathroom I’ve ever worn. I almost bought one, but would not fit into my suitcase!

I also appreciated some of the design features such as the swinging door that makes the toilet private, and the lounge positioned perfectly to watch Desperate Housewives.

There were a ton of kids around, and I did talk to some of the parents. Everyone was happy. So thanks very much for arranging my first stay at a Pan Pacific hotel. I can see why it was filled with guests. I very much appreciated seeing the property and enjoying it first hand. It was a pleasure to meet with you at GoMedia, and please keep in touch with news,

Just spent my wedding night there this past Saturday 9/12. Right off the bat it was a great experience. They upgraded our room on the house. The room was beautiful. I’m not gonna lie though, didn’t sleep that great. But we were both flat out exhausted and overwhelmed from the day.

Market Metrix recently named Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle the top scoring hotel in Hospitality. Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts was the top scoring hotel (-0.5 to 95.0), outscoring second place Mandarin Oriental.

“Pan Pacific is an amazing hotel from the moment you enter the front door. We never came into the hotel without someone personally opening the door with a warm greeting towards us…very welcoming! I would classify the lobby as trendy urban chic..beautiful and open and yet incredibly cozy. All hotel staff encountered were highly professional and helpful and pleasant. One thing we really appreciated was that the elevator was very efficient. We never had to wait more than a few seconds for an elevator to be available. Our room was compact and yet very inviting and cozy with many plush amenities. I looked up the brand of bed and it’s appropriately called a ‘Hypnos Bed’. Indeed, when we slept on this bed, it’s like we were hypnotized or something. It is the MOST comfortable bed! I seriously hardly even moved during the night because I was so comfortable and awoke with not a single ache or pain. It is obvious that the sheets, duvet, pillows and towels are of the highest quality. The room had a nice large flatscreen tv and a chic desk and fantastically ergonomic desk chair as well as a sumptuous chaise lounge. Sitting in the chaise afforded a great view of the Space Needle. The bathroom facilitiies truly exceeded our expectations…granite countertops, large glass shower, fancy toilet, large tub, swingout magnifying mirror, hairdryer, superb toiletries…and all this was nestled behind clever sliding ‘window doors’. Housekeeping did an adequate job of tidying and refreshing the room daily. Pan Pacific is located in a great spot within walking distance of every major hot spot in town..and there are MANY hot spots to enjoy! The Seaside Restaurant and Hotel Bar were among the best of all we visited while in Seattle. In fact, our server at another restaurant in town actually recommended our hotel restaurant to us..saying the chef was the top seafood chef in the city! Our servers at the Seaside Restaurant and Hotel Bar were sincerely the most genuinely friendly and helpful of all our dining experiences in Seattle. We cannot praise them enough! We will definitely stay at the Pan Pacific again when we return to Seattle..we can’t wait!!”

“It is not often that you can expect to encounter excellence in today’s world. That expectation was exceded beyond my wildest dreams by my recent stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle. From my first contact for reservations to the moment our car left the hotel we were treated to unparalleled service.

The hotel is conviently located close to town without giving the feeling that you are in downtown. The dramatic views of the Space Needle and the Olympic mountain range from our hotel window thirlled us each day.

Our room was spacious,light and very comfortable. Every possible luxury from free wi-fi to a dvd was at our disposal. The bed, let’s face the most important piece of furniture, was large and comfortable.

The staff were pleasant,helpful and showed a degree of professionalism not seen today. I honestly believe that the word pampered may be an understatement.

The hotel itself is surrounded by shops,restaurants, coffee houses and a day spa complete with gym available to guests.

In today’s world of hectic pace, surly service and disappointment the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle is an oasis of calm, leisure and attentiveness that everyone deserves in their lives.”

“This hotel was practically perfect. It was very modern and extremly clean. The staff was very courteous and professional in every way. My family and I stayed in the executive suite. It was roomy (525 square feet) with a large bathroom and balcony. We had a car so the location was not an issue. The hotel does provide some morning and evening transportation to the tourist attractions. I would like to clear up some things I read in reviews that may help you on your trip. First, the hotel does not have an ice machine but the will gladly send ice complimentary to your room if you ask. I this is an important point, it is amazing what happens if you just ask for something. Also, parking. Yes, if you do park in the garage it is $33.00 a night. But after 6:00 it is free on the street and there is plenty of parking. We went to Seattle to see the sights so we were gone all day and parked on the street at night, no charge. The gym- it is really across a beautiful courtyard not a street and it is not far at all. It is very nice and accessible 24 hours with your room key. The best thing of all is you have access to a whole foods grocery store which has everything you could possible need. I did a lot of reasearch on hotels before I booked this one and I have no regrets. This hotel was perfect, no complaints!”

“My husband and I stayed in the Pan Pacific on a trip to Seattle to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We have been to the city three times before but this was easily the best hotel and I can’t praise it enough.

On arrival, we were offered a choice of two rooms including a corner suite (maybe because we had a longer than average stay??) on the 9th floor and we were delighted with everything about the hotel. The room was huge as was the luxurious bathroom; great fun to have a bath and look at what was going on outside at the same time (there are blinds to protect your modesty!) We’ve stayed in hotel bedrooms that were smaller than this bathroom. Robes and slippers were provided as is bottled water each evening and the coffee maker was well-used.

We appreciated the balcony and were content to watch the evening skies in a period of wonderful weather with our coffees. The proximity of a Whole Foods market below the hotel was a real bonus and we loved it – for breakfast, some dinners and fruit, sodas etc to take away. The availability of a free PC/internet/printer was useful for keeping in touch with family and for on-line flight check-in.

Special attention is clearly paid to staff training and their professionalism was outstanding. Some hotel staff can be “stuffy” when polite but the Pan Pacific staff seem to have got it just right – warm, friendly, relaxed and helpful. They should be a model for hotel staff everywhere and deserve special mention for the warm welcome, every day.

Other reviewers have commented on the fact that the hotel is on the edge of downtown but we found it easily walkable- to downtown, Lake Union and the Space Needle- all within walking distance though buses and trolleys are right outside if you don’t walk! We “discovered” transit terminals latterly close by and free buses take you quickly to most downtown areas such as ferry terminals, Chinatown etc – quicker than the surface buses due to the tunnel.

We took a floatplane trip to the San Juan Islands and ferries to Bainbridge and Bremerton, all thoroughly recommended. Seattle is a great city and the Pan Pacific helped to make it a really special trip for us. Would not hesitate to return there and recommend it highly.”

“We stayed at the Pan Pacific Seattle from May 14th through May 19th 2009. The hotel is clean and well located in the edge of the downtown business district. Parking can be expensive at a bit more than $30 per night. We booked a ‘suite’. While our room was nice, clean and generally pleasant it was not a suite. See photos for details; they show the entire room. The staff makes this hotel a very pleasant stay. It’s also nice that there is a Whole Foods and Starbucks below the hotel.”

“Its a very pleasant place to stay both the hotel and the location. Modern but still a warm place to be. The Pan Pacific is also handily placed with food options on its doorstep and a very short walk to all the places you’ll want to be. The only thing to note is that it doesn’t have a pool although it does have a good hot tub.”

“Perfect hotel in my book. Front desk staff was attentive, courteous and professional. Room was outstanding – clean, nicely furnished and spacious. Bathroom was perfect with the rainfall shower and a deep soaking tub. Amenities: Coffee making facilities, steamer to press your clothes, big screen television, minibar, hairdryer and free Internet access for your laptop. I was able to print my boarding passes downstairs in the business center.The hotel is about a 7-10 minute walk to the downtown area. The walk is not bad. I found the neighborhood extremely quiet. There is a Starbucks next to the restaurant and a Whole Foods one level below the hotel. The Whole Foods opens at 7 a.m. so you can buy breakfast or snacks for the day. I took the Airporter bus from Sea-Tac Airport. The cost is $18 round trip and you can get off at the Westin which is just a couple of blocks up from the hotel. For a nice day, head on down to Pier 52 and take the ferry to Bainbridge Island. The round trip cost is $6.70. Once you get off the ferry, walk to the right up the street, and then make a left to the shops and restaurants. You will see the signs to show the way. The island is lovely and the shops are quaint. Great place to have lunch.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Pan Pacific in Seattle. The service, my room, hotel location and amenities were all exceptional. Everyone from the bellman to the front desk staff were prompt, courteous, pleasant all of the time. The front desk staff always greeted me by name whenever we had a conversation. The room was splendid … the furniture and decor was very pleasing, all in earth tones and clean lines. The bed, bed linens and pillows were extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a deep soaker tub, rain shower enclosure, large mirror, hairdryer and clothing steamer … I enjoyed them all very much. The location was very good for me … it was a short distance to both the Seattle Exhibition Center and downtown shopping. There is also a Starbucks and Wholefoods store in the complex which came in very handy for buying coffee, snacks and quick meals. I had a meal at the hotel restaurant which I enjoyed very much. The service was also very good. The hotel also has a very nice 24/7 fitness center with a whirlpool and steam sauna (used both). There is also a lovely spa in the same complex which I would also recommend. The one surprise at the hotel was the cost of valet parking ($33/night) however, when I did some inquiries, it seemed to be the going rate for other parking lots in the same area. That’s the price for staying downtown Seattle. Overall, it was a great experience!”

“The manager took the initiative to add brighter lights in the desk lamp because of my poor vision. He actually remembered it from my previous visits!! I also appreciate the loofah sponge…how special! EVERYONE I have encountered on staff from maintenance to management have been terrific!! I am a Kimpton Hotel member where I stay in other locations, but there is no where else I’d rather stay in Seattle than the Pan Pacific.”

“Yes, the room was so comfortable, I did not want to leave. I felt I was in a spa especially with the great roomy bathroom. However, since I knew that the folks back home would ask me how Seattle was, I had to force myself out of the most comfortable bed in the world and go sightseeing. Check-out was a breeze. I stored my luggage for the afternoon because I was taking the red-eye back to Pittsburgh. When I returned to the hotel, I was in a hurry and soaking wet. Jonathan retrieved my luggage in a professional, polite and accommodating manner. Please pass on my compliments to him for his wonderful service. Your hotel is outstanding – both in personnel and the quality of the rooms and the hotel itself.”

“My visit to Seattle was to attend a 4 day class (8a – 6p). If it hadn’t been for the comfort of the room (especially the bed), the wonderful food/food service, and friendliness of staff I don’t think I would of survived. The desk and desk chair were ergonomic. And, the proximity of the Vida Spa (right across the parking lot) really turned a stressful week into an enjoyable vacation. They are VERY environmentally friendly!”

“My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend at the end of March. We had a king room which was A+. High level bed and linens, plenty of plush towels and toiletries, deep tub, separate shower, free Wi-Fi, fancy TV and all the rest of the trimmings. We had a great view of the space needle. Very good food thru room service, hotel bar restaurant and the adjoining SeaStar. There is also one of the best fitness facilities I’ve seen in any hotel and a spa across the courtyard. The hotel opened in 2006 and is in a developing section north of downtown. The oasis includes a WholeFoods, Starbucks, a pizza restaurant and shops. As others have noted its away from the center which is only a problem when it rains, but it rains a lot in Seattle so you may need to cab it to go anywhere else.”

“The team @ Pan Pacific was very expedient in changing reservations as planned changed shortly after making reservations. Too, once airline routings changed, the reservations, once again, had to be amended. Each time, the personnel at Pan Pacific were very easy to work with! My husband, son, and I were visiting Seattle the weekend of Dec. 21. The blizzard was a factor in transportation being suspended. The Pan Pacific personnel, once again, facilitated a driver to get us to the airport very early on the morning of Dec. 23. This hotel was very affordable and the amenities were second to none! Will certainly return!”

  1. I’ve stayed at the Pan Pacific two times in the last quarter- both for two nights. I’m a bit of a hotel snob but a friend recomended the Pan Pacific and I thought I’d give it a try! I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service, friendliness and amenities. I could even claim that I’m a bit heathier when I stay there- the gym is worth dragging your workout clothes and I love having Whole Foods where I can get my special tea and fruit in the morning. I was originally a bit concerned having to take a taxi to my office, but the hotel alwasy seems to have one waiting at the door for me. Nice job on your team in Seattle. I look forward to being welcomed back to the Pan Pacific.

  2. Like Janet and all the others, my many stays at Pan Pacific Seattle have always been as good as it gets! As a repeat guest, the staff remembers my name, where I’m from and what to recommend so that I can check out new restaurants and attractions that are of interest. And, at the end of each day, that beautiful bathroom calls my name as does the sumptuous bed! Sweet Dreams ~
